Hawthorn has kicked off its 2018 VFLW season with a special launch event at The Bakers Wife in Camberwell.
Players, coaches, family members and special guests, including Federal Member for Chisholm Julia Banks, filled the room to celebrate the historic event, as the women were presented with their first official Hawthorn playing guernseys.
Hawthorn President Jeff Kennett also announced that the club will pay every player per game played, in a competition first.
