The Hawthorn VFLW side has delivered its most important win of the season, defeating the NT Thunder by 25 points at TIO Stadium on Saturday.
The win opens up the possibility of the Hawks claiming second spot on the ladder off the Thunder in their last home and away season game against Geelong this Saturday.

Forward Rebecca Beeson said the side was “absolutely stoked” with the victory, as they became just the second side to beat the Thunder in Darwin this season.
“We had the belief coming in that we could get the job done,” Beeson said.
“But I think it is probably the best game that we’ve played as a team this season.
“Paddy just spoke to us and said that we pretty much did everything to a tee that he asked us to do, so it’s an amazing feeling.”
The Hawks will now set their sights on Geelong, in what promises to be a blockbuster final round of the VFLW home and away season.
A clash between two of football’s fiercest rivals, the winner will take second spot on the ladder.
The VFLW finals structure sees the top two sides face off for a place in the Grand Final in the first week of finals.
“Obviously we know that they are a top two-calibre team,” Beeson said.
“They’re really strong.
“We need to really focus in on next week because we want to finish the year strong and take another step forward leading into finals.”
Hawthorn takes on Geelong this Saturday at 11:30am at Box Hill City Oval.
