Hawthorn Football Club is delighted to announce Nissan Australia will join the club as it’s official automotive partner for the next three years.
The multi-year deal will see the international car manufacturer support the Hawks across its AFL, VFL and VFLW programs.
The partnership will see the Nissan logo appear on the Hawks playing shorts across both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the apparel of Hawthorn’s coaches, amongst many other club assets.
Hawthorn Chief Executive Officer, Justin Reeves, said the club is thrilled to welcome Nissan to the Hawks family.
“Nissan are an incredibly well-respected brand across Australia and the globe, and we are thrilled to be working with them in what is an exciting time for our club heading into 2019,” Reeves said.
“Nissan’s company ethos aligns closely with what our club stands for, with both organisations striving for the highest quality and success in everything we do.”
Nissan Australia’s Managing Director Stephen Lester echoed Reeves, saying the partnership opened exciting opportunities for both brands.
“Nissan, and our Dealers, are delighted to partner with the Hawthorn Football Club; today is a great day for the Nissan brand in Australia,” said Lester.
“Like minded in our approach, Hawthorn is the family club that has the fans and its members at the forefront of everything that it does, and this mirrors Nissan and our Dealers who are committed to our customers – past, present and future.
“This partnership enables Nissan to engage with AFL fans nationally and sustain our presence in the market. It represents an exciting opportunity.”
Nissan sells some of Australia’s most popular SUVs including the QASHQAI, the family-size X-TRAIL and Pathfinder, as well as a rugged ute – the Nissan Navara.
Nissan is an active sponsor of elite Australian sport, with the auto maker also supporting Melbourne City Football Club and Netball Australia.
