Let's flashback to Round 6, 10 years ago, with a match-winning effort from a young Jarryd Roughead...
Sitting second on the ladder after five straight wins to start the season, the Hawks come into their Round 6 clash favourites against the eighth-placed Tigers, who are fresh off a draw against the Bulldogs.
Ben McGlynn has been included at the expense of Tim Clarke, while Richmond take in an unchanged line-up.
Young forward Cyril Rioli has also continued to press his case for a Rising Star nomination after averaging 15 disposals over his first five games and kicking six goals.
QT: Spearhead Lance Franklin got the Hawks on the board, running into an open goal after finding himself on the end of a chain of handballs, before Mark Williams and Jarryd Roughead kicked truly to put the side up 22-1 mid-way through the opening term.
But with four of the next five goals the Tigers brought themselves right back into the contest, as the Hawks took a six-point lead into the first break.
HT: Luke Hodge intercepted an opposition kick-in with a spectacular mark but failed to convert, as inaccuracy in front of goal began to plague to Hawks with Franklin and Roughead also missing chances.
More than 18 minutes in, Hawthorn finally landed the quarter’s first goal via Roughead, while Michael Osbourne also popped up for his first.
Despite being held scoreless so far for the term, the Tigers again dragged the margin back with consecutive goals, with the Hawks sitting 11 points clear at half time.

3QT: The Hawks’ number two continued to provide them with their main avenue to goal, with Roughead again proving too strong on the lead.
The Tigers however refused to go away, as goals to key forwards Matthew Richardson and Jack Riewoldt brought them to within seven points.
But lighting up the MCG, livewire Cyril Rioli gathered a bouncing ball in the Hawks’ forward 50 before weaving through a pair of Tiger defenders to snapping a dribbling goal from tight on the boundary.
Richmond then secured the reply via Richardson as three consecutive goals suddenly saw the Tigers take a four-point lead.
But wrestling back the momentum, the Hawks nailed goals first through Mark Williams and then Ben McGlynn as they reclaimed an eight point advantage.
FT: It took the Tigers only 22 seconds to find the goals, with Richardson soccering through his third after the they won the quick centre clearance.
Just two points up, Franklin sent through his seventh behind for the match, before Osbourne gave the side some breathing space after marking strongly 40 metres out.
The sides went goal-for-goal with Rioli again providing one for the highlight reel as he perfectly roved a spilt Franklin mark before kicking truly, in a performance sure to be considered for the round’s Rising Star nomination.
With only six points separating the sides, it was Roughead who stood up with back-to-back goals in the latter half of the term with Rick Ladson and Sam Mitchell each finding the key forward in space as the Hawks held on for a hard-fought 12-point victory.
