Hawthorn premiership player Emerson Woods has made quite the impression at the 2018 NAB AFLW Draft Combine.
Just 10 days after winning a flag with their VFLW teammates, Woods and fellow Hawk Mikala Cann were back at Etihad Stadium, testing their skills against 34 of the country’s best young female athletes.
Woods’ pace was on immediate display as she broke the record for the 20-metre sprint, covering the distance in 3.129 seconds.
The Eastern Ranges product also registered top five placings in the standing vertical jump (5th), the agility test (3rd), the YoYo test (2nd), and the 2km time trial (3rd).
Woods is one of 16 Hawthorn players to have nominated for the AFLW draft, which will be held on October 23rd.
