Youngster Harry Morrison has gone from strength to strength since receiving his AFL call up in the final round of last season.
Not only did he help the Hawks deliver a victory in his debut match, but he notched up the most disposals of any Hawthorn debutant in more than three seasons (21).
The speedy wingman has carried his good form into the pre-season. He cemented two second-place finishes in the club’s pre and post-Christmas time trials, behind only Isaac Smith, in a clear demonstration of both effort and endurance.
He also gave a solid performance in the Hawks’ intraclub hit out, finishing the night with 13 disposals, three marks, two inside 50s and a clearance.
“Harry has built on a really good preparation during his first year at the club last year,” said Director of High Performance Andrew Russell.
“He’s done 99 per cent of the pre-season, and he’s just gone to another level.
“He’s got better aerobically, his repeat speed has got better, and he’s stronger and more powerful, so we’re looking forward to an exciting year from Harry.”
Russell will reveal his 10 pre-season standout across the next 10 days.
