With no apparent injuries emerging from the match against Sydney, Hawthorn look unlikely to be forced to make any changes for their Round 11 match-up against Port Adelaide.
Despite registering a sterling win against the Swans, Hawthorn still struggled to take marks inside 50, finishing with just seven for the night. The Hawthorn match committee may look to add another marking forward to the mix, to provide their mids with more options.
Tim O’Brien could be the prime candidate, with the young forward recovering well from his hip issues and available to line up on Thursday night.
O'Brien had found a strong patch of form in his last four games, averaging two goals and six marks, before hip soreness ruled him out of Hawthorn’s Round 10 clash with Collingwood.
Will Langford and Billy Hartung will also be hoping to return to the Hawks’ line up, after being dropped for the clash against Sydney. The side may look to Langford for some additional inside grunt against a quality Port Adelaide midfield, while Hartung could provide some added run and carry on the longer Adelaide Oval.
Teams for the Thursday night clash will be announced at 6.20pm on Wednesday night.
