Hawthorn Football Club Director Bruce Stevenson last week resigned from his position on the club’s board.
Stevenson has been involved with the club for over 50 years and was made a life member in 2010.
A member of the 1971 premiership team, Stevenson played 72 games for the Hawks between 1967 and 1974.
He has been a director of the Hawthorn Football Club Foundation since 2010 and was appointed as a director of the Hawthorn Football Club Board in 2013.
Prior to joining the Board, Stevenson worked in the Australian motor industry for 35 years and is a respected businessman throughout Tasmania, having begun Stevenson Automotive in Launceston in 1989.
Hawthorn President Richard Garvey, said Stevenson has been an outstanding servant of the club.
“Bruce has made an outstanding contribution to the Hawthorn Football Club during his time as a player and director," Garvey said.
“We thank Bruce for his service to Hawthorn and wish he and his family all the best in their future endeavours.”
