Hawthorn’s 2017 draftees James Worpel, Dylan Moore and Jackson Ross join an exclusive list of players to be drafted by the Hawks from their respective TAC Cup sides.

Worpel joins a list of only 10 Hawks to be drafted from the Geelong Falcons, while Moore and Ross have become the eighth and ninth players respectively to be plucked by Hawthorn from the Eastern Ranges.

Headlining the list of Falcons-turned-Hawks are premiership heroes Luke Hodge (Pick 1, 2001) and Jordan Lewis (Pick 7, 2004), while small forward/defender Teia Miles is the only other player currently on the Hawks’ list to hail from the Geelong Under-18 program.

Those to also come off the footy factory’s production line include former Hawks midfielder Tim Clarke, who played 96 games from 2000 to 2008, as well as tall forward Tim Boyle (31 games).

Meanwhile Ross and Moore will be hoping to emulate the success of triple-premiership hawk Liam Shiels as graduates of the Eastern Ranges to have been selected by the Hawks with small defender Blake Hardwick another from the Under-18 side to have made it to Waverley Park.

Former Hawk Rayden Tallis, who was selected with Pick 56 in the 1993 National draft and played 163 games for the Hawks is another, along with current North Melbourne coach Brad Scott, who made 22 appearances in the brown and gold.
