“It was Lovell’s first game back, after having not played all year. I felt like he impacted reasonably well, he had five clearances for us which was good. He looked like he was running on top of the ground, he’s done a power of running with his shoulder injury so he’s been able to maintain his fitness. But probably, if anything, it’s just that match fitness that he needs to get over the next couple of weeks. He played 60% game-time and still ended up with 21 possessions. He’ll improve from that, but that’s a pretty good effort, coming back in and playing your first game and impacting the way he did.” CN

“Hanrahan played on-ball and forward. He just makes something out of nothing at times because he can be quite creative with the footy. His impact was good, he kicked 1.1 and was involved in a lot of scoring chains. His ball use is quite good, he finished with 88 per cent efficiency. He uses his legs well, he had four clearances, so he clears the ball well with his speed and his step. He’s a young kid that’s obviously still developing as well so he has a lot of upside.” CN

“Milesy played forward again. His workrate has been through the roof since he has been forward. He has always worked hard, but his ability to get up the ground and rip back has been outstanding and has given him the best opportunity to kick goals. So, he’s finished with five goals and a score assist as well. He’s providing some crumbing opportunities for us and also getting on the end of a few marks so he just needs to maintain his workrate and hopefully continue to get rewarded on the scoreboard as well.” CN

The best thing about Pitto’s game was his contested marking and his ability to get back and help the defence. He’s growing more and more confident each week as a physical ruckman. He makes the smalls walk taller by giving them first use around the ground.” CN

“He played back again. He started the game really well, I think he had seven disposals in the first quarter. He was off the ground for a little bit to get some treatment but he ended up coming back on. He took three marks from opposition, so we are really encouraging him to use his hands and take marks from opposition boot when he can run and jump at it. It’s still a foreign position for him, playing back. We know he has the ability to go forward, so we will probably explore that again in the back end of the season.” CN

“He kicked three goals. His contested marking was probably the highlight. He works really hard in the forward half to create for others. He went into the ruck for a little bit, but not that often.
