Blake Hardwick is expected to be available for Hawthorn’s Round 20 clash with Richmond, after recovering from concussion sustained against Sydney.
The youngster left the field midway through the second term after hitting the ground in an Isaac Heeney tackle, however Elite Performance Manager Andrew Russell says Hardwick has had a speedy recovery.
“It was probably a line ball decision whether he came back on (against Sydney), but the doctors made the right call there,” said Russell.
“He has recovered really, really well. He actually did some training today, so we expect him to be available to play this week.”
Paul Puopolo could also make his return this week, after missing five weeks with a groin injury.
“He trained fully today, we’ll see how he pulls up,” said Russell.
“He’ll train again Thursday, and he’s a test and a possibility to return this week.”
