Hawthorn Elite Performance Manager Andrew Russell expects midfielder Jaeger O’Meara to be back playing football within 2-3 weeks.
“We’re really pleased with the way Jaeger is going,” said Russell.
“He’s back into the skills program. He’s kicking, he’s sprinting, he’s doing all the change of direction work that we need him to do.
“He’s a powerful athlete, and he needs to be powerful and strong for him to play.
“He’ll have another couple of weeks of skills training and then we’ll look to get him back playing again.”
In other positive news, youngsters Kieran Lovell (shoulder) and Conor Nash (hamstring) are set to return to football this week via the VFL.
