Review
In his first year at Hawthorn, Ollie Hanrahan showed some promising signs as a small forward who can also have an impact on-ball.
After a delayed start to his season due to injury, the 19-year old played 12 games for Box Hill this year, averaging 15 disposals, three marks and two tackles.
The former Murray Bushranger also kicked 12.12 for the year, proving a dangerous threat around goals.
Throughout 2017, Box Hill coach Chris Newman has often commended the youngster’s ability to break out of stoppage and use the ball well by foot.
The lightly-framed Hanrahan will look to have a strong pre-season, putting on some weight and furthering his understanding of the Hawthorn game-style.

“Ollie is a small forward who has shown some really good form at Box Hill.
“He is only a young kid but his name was even thrown up towards the end of the year to get a game in the seniors. He was in good enough form to be considered over those last couple of weeks.
“There is no reason why he can’t slot in and play some senior footy next year.
“He has really good skills and a great ability to go laterally and get around the opposition.
“He should be really setting himself for a strong preseason.”
