Hawthorn is the only team in the competition this year to have achieved what we are dubbing “Travel’s Trickiest Treble”.
No other side this season has been able to snatch interstate wins in Sydney, Perth and Adelaide.
All three of these wins have come in the last two months for the Hawks, with the Round 10 win in Sydney against the Swans, the Round 14 upset over the Crows at Adelaide Oval and last week’s strong performance over Fremantle at Domain Stadium.
What makes this feat all the more impressive is that the Hawks have beaten both Adelaide and Sydney while they have been amidst stellar runs of form.
The Crows have won seven of their last nine games, while the Swans are the in-form side of the competition, having won 10 of their past 11 matches.

Hawthorn join Adelaide and Port Adelaide as the only three clubs to have won in five different states of the country this year, with Power also notching four premiership points at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai against Gold Coast in Round 8.
The Hawks’ interstate wins have been pivotal to their second-half of the season revival.
For the remaining five games of the season Hawthorn play outside of Victoria only once, when they meet North Melbourne at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Round 21.
