Following a second half fadeout that saw the Hawks kick just one goal after half time, the match committee may look to make some changes when Hawthorn take on Sydney at the SCG on Friday night.
Kaiden Brand looks set to return, after overcoming illness that ruled him out the morning of Hawthorn’s Round 9 clash. Tim O’Brien, also a late change, will be given an opportunity to prove his fitness as he recovers from hip soreness.
Several listed Hawks continue to push their AFL selection claims via strong VFL performances, with Box Hill currently sitting undefeated atop the VFL ladder.

First-year midfielder James Cousins continued a string of impressive outings, collecting 29 disposals as he helped his team secure a come-from-behind victory. The rookie-listed Hawk also laid a game-high 15 tackles, seven more than the next highest on the ground.
Dallas Willsmore also upped his defensive pressure this weekend laying a season-high six tackles. The versatile wingman is averaging 25 disposals and consistently ranked among Box Hill’s best as he eyes off his senior debut.
Ruckman Marc Pittonet also performed well, dominating in the ruck with 45 hit-outs, 11 touches and three tackles.
