It took Josh Gibson 127 games in brown and gold to kick his first goal at Hawthorn.
And it appears as though the floodgates may have opened.
The dual Peter Crimmins Medallist doubled his Hawthorn goal tally against Fremantle on Saturday, kicking an important goal in the third quarter.
It was his second major in six matches – adding to the two he kicked in 65 games at former club, North Melbourne.
“It was very nice, I managed to judge the wind,” Gibson told Fox Footy post-game.
“I haven’t had many shots down here at training, so it was nice to get it to go through.”
A clever tap from Ben McEvoy inside the Hawks’ forward 50 ended up in Gibson’s hands, with the key defender making no mistake on the run off his left boot.
"It's very nice - I've doubled my career tally this year," Gibson said.
"That's pleasing, and I've doubled my tally for Hawthorn."
