HAVING caused a stir on social media 12 months ago, 'pretty good mates' Jack Gunston and Ricky Henderson are now on the same team.
And Gunston has been quick to welcome the former Crow to Hawthorn.
But on September 15 last year things appeared far from cordial when Gunston tweeted he was 'spewing' he couldn't play in the semi-final against Adelaide to which Henderson responded 'spewing more than when you got drafted to Adelaide?'
It was all part of a twitter ruse hatched by then Crow Patrick Dangerfield, who enlisted Brodie Smith to join in the fun.
It turned out the Crows boys were looking to get the story into the mainstream media – and it worked.
Later that same week Henderson described it all as 'just a bit of fun and games'.
"Jack and I are pretty good mates and when he said something we just had a bit of a team plot to get into him a little bit," he said.
Gunston spent his first two AFL seasons at the Crows before moving to Hawthorn and playing a role in the club's hat-trick of premierships.
He missed last year's semi-final against the Crows with a leg injury.
Henderson moved to Hawthorn on Tuesday as a delisted free agent.
