BOX HILL Hawks have a regained a number of key players for Saturday’s clash with reigning VFL premier Williamstown at Box Hill City Oval.

Midfield duo Jonathan O’Rourke and Dallas Willsmore will return from thumb and hamstring injuries respectively, while ruckman Marc Pittonet and midfielder-forward Kade Stewart come back after being travelling emergencies for the AFL side before the bye.

Key forward Tim O’Brien has also been named in the Hawks’ extended 27-player squad, after being a late withdrawal from Thursday night’s AFL win against Port Adelaide due to illness.

The Hawks will be looking to put an end to a three-game losing streak when they face the Seagulls.

Losses to Port Melbourne, Geelong and Northern Blues have seen the Hawks slip outside the top eight.

It will be a tough task against the Seagulls – who sit second on the ladder with an 8-3 record.

But the Hawks only have to look back to Round 2 this season, when they overturned a 10-point three-quarter time deficit to win the 2015 VFL grand final rematch.

Kieran Lovell was influential that day with five goals, as was Brendan Whitecross, and both will look to have a similar impact this week. Both Willsmore and O’Rourke also impressed in that match and will be welcome additions this week.
