HAWTHORN players shared the coaches’ votes in Friday night’s big win against Essendon at Etihad Stadium.

Eight Hawks split the 30 votes on offer from coaches Alastair Clarkson and John Worsfold.

Skipper Jordan Lewis led the way with seven votes, for his 35-disposal performance, while Grant Birchall (six) and Paul Puopolo (five) were the other Hawks to poll a handful of votes or more.

Birchall collected a season-high 30 disposals across half-back, while Puopolo finished with four goals, and one of the goal assists of the season.

Defender Josh Gibson (25 disposals, 12 marks) and forward Jack Gunston (21 disposals, four goals) each collected four votes, while Liam Shiels picked up two votes for his 25-disposal, six tackle performance.

Rounding out the votes were Luke Breust and Ben Stratton, with one each.
