BOX Hill Hawks have started the season in perfect fashion, recording a 37-point win against Sandringham at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday.
Hawthorn's VFL affiliate led from start to finish in their season opener against the Zebras.
The Hawks increased their lead in each of the first three terms, on their way to a 18.10 (118) to 12.9 (81) victory.
Vice-captain Sam Iles (28 disposals) was named Box Hill's player of the match, as the team won the Blue Ribbon Cup.
Hawthorn-listed players Brendan Whitecross, Dallas Willsmore, Marc Pittonet and Tim O'Brien were all named among the Hawks' best.
Willsmore collected 26 disposals, while O'Brien slotted three goals. Daniel Howe and Teia Miles chipped in with two goals each, while Kieran Lovell had 25 disposals and a goal.
