CYRIL Rioli earned the third All Australian selection last night, adding to the accolades he has already received in his AFL career.

He was selected on a half forward flank in the star-studded line up, alongside former team mate Lance Franklin.

Rioli has had a stellar 2016, kicking a career best 44 goals in 19 games so far this season.

The 2015 Norm Smith Medallist has been a pivotal cog in the Hawthorn forward line this season, sitting second behind Jack Gunston for the most goals kicked by a Hawk in the home-and-away season.

Rioli kicked at least one goal in the sixteen games he played between Round 2 and Round 21, the longest continuous streak of his career.

Playing predominantly forward this year in the absence of Jarryd Roughead, Rioli is averaging 14 disposals and 3.5 marks per game.

His pressure around the ball has continued to be a highlight of his game, just one tackle off his personal best mark of 121 tackles he set in 2012.

Rioli has put his hamstring woes behind him in the last two years, allowing Hawthorn fans to see what he is truly capable of.
