HAWTHORN’s Irish recruit Conor Glass will play his first game of AFL football this weekend when he runs out for Box Hill’s Development team on Sunday against Frankston.

The Hawks signed Irishman Glass as an International Category B rookie at the end of the 2015 season.

Standing at 189 centimetres and boasting excellent skills on both sides of his body, Glass is a likely utility prospect for the Hawks.

The 18-year-old arrived back in Melbourne last month after completing his high school studies.

Meanwhile, the Box Hill senior side has made several changes to their line up ahead of their clash with Essendon on Saturday.

Box Hill will be bolstered by Luke Surman, Will Langford, Billy Hartung and Blake Hardwick.

Hartung comes back into the side after the midfielder was omitted from Hawthorn’s round 17 side which defeated Sydney on Thursday night.

With Brendan Whitecross, Angus Litherland and Jonathan O’Rourke recalled by the Hawks for their clash with Sydney, Box Hill players Sam Gibson, Marc Lock and Nick Evans have been elevated from the Development squad.
