HAWTHORN skipper Luke Hodge looks set to miss several games after suffering a suspected broken right arm in the final quarter of his side's loss to Geelong. 

Hodge went off the field in pain after a collision with Cat Mitch Duncan in the last term. Duncan was reported for rough conduct in the incident, although he appeared to avoid contact with Hodge's head. 

The Hawks captain finished the game on the bench with his lower right arm and wrist iced up. 

Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson said the club would wait on scans to determine the severity of Hodge's injury but conceded "it doesn't look good".

"He has got a sore arm so we will get that assessed either tonight or tomorrow night," Clarkson said.

“I’d suggest it doesn’t look too good because he’s a pretty fierce warrior and he doesn’t usually come off the ground,” Clarkson said.

“He was icing up after the game and it was pretty sore. We’ll just wait and see, but he’s probably likely to miss a little bit of footy I’d reckon.

“Hopefully it’s not (broken) because if it’s not he’ll play next week, but he doesn’t usually come off the ground for something like that so it must be pretty sore.”
