HAWTHORN had five players among the coaches’ votes in Thursday night’s win against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
Cyril Rioli was the pick of the bunch, collecting nine of a possible ten votes from Alastair Clarkson and his Power counterpart, Ken Hinkley.
The star small forward kicked three goals from 18 disposals to be a constant threat in attack for the Hawks.
Hawks skipper Luke Hodge was next-best with eight votes, for his 29-disposal match, while Sam Mitchell finished with six votes after collecting 28 disposals.
Port Adelaide star Robbie Gray was his side’s only vote-winner, with the influential on-baller collecting 29 disposals and kicking two goals, earning five votes.
Experienced Hawks Shaun Burgoyne and Jordan Lewis rounded out the votes, picking up one apiece.
