RUCKMAN Marc Pittonet has recommitted to Hawthorn, signing a two-year contract extension.
The second-year Hawk made his AFL debut in Round 1 of this season, and is now tied to the club until the end of 2018.
Hawthorn recruiting and list manager Graham Wright said the club had been pleased with the big man’s development.
“We’ve been really happy with the way Marc has developed,” Wright said.
“He had a really strong pre-season and has already got results from that this year, making his AFL debut and producing some strong performances for Box Hill.”
“He’s still only 19 years old, and we think’s he’s got a bright future at Hawthorn.”
Pittonet joined the Hawks with pick 50 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.
He spent 2015 honing his craft at VFL level, before getting his chance at senior level against Geelong on Easter Monday.
The Oakleigh Chargers product has since returned to Box Hill Hawks, featuring strongly in the first two rounds of the VFL season to push his case for a senior recall
