BEN Stratton will miss at least three weeks after sustaining a small tear to his pectoral muscle in Hawthorn’s loss to Melbourne at the MCG last Saturday.
Stratton, who has played an important role for the Hawks in defence this season, came from the field in the second quarter and took no further part in the match.
Hawthorn’s General Manager of Football Operations Chris Fagan said it was a disappointing result for the three-time premiership player.
“Ben will miss three-to-four weeks with his pectoral injury which isn't ideal,” Fagan said.
“He’s an important part of our backline unit but we are confident others will step up to cover his absence.”
