HAWTHORN expects to welcome back two premiership stars for Saturday’s clash with Fremantle at Aurora Stadium.

GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan says James Frawley (concussion) and Sam Mitchell (corked calf) have overcome their respective injuries, which kept them out of Friday night’s win against Richmond.

“James was pretty good by the end of the week last week, but given the nature of the knock and the fact that he was pretty out of it for a while there after the game (against GWS Giants), we took all the necessary precautions,” Fagan said on Tuesday.

“He’s training fully this week, feeling good and he’ll return.”

On Mitchell, the Hawks’ footy boss said the “expectation is he’ll play this week, for sure”.

Fagan also spoke about Ryan Schoenmakers’ groin injury, Luke Hodge’s recovery from knee surgery and Alex Woodward’s timeline for return from a knee reconstruction in this week’s Bupa Recovery Report.
