Introducing Hawthorn’s 2019 Best of the best…
Over the next four weeks we will be looking back through the year and crowning the best goal, mark and moment chosen by Hawthorn supporters.
Fans will get the opportunity to vote for what they think deserves the top spot and at the end of the four weeks we will crown three winners.
So what will you vote for?
Beginning the series with the most impressive goals from throughout the year lets take a look at our third pair of competitors…
James Cousins Round 5 v Geelong
Whether it was intentional or not is questionable, but nonetheless it was an extremely impressive goal from Cousins. As the 21-year-old ran into goals the ball hit his foot and went straight through for the six points. Even Cousins could barely contain his surprise that the ball managed to go through, with a shocked face followed by a bit of a laugh with his teammates.
Paul Puopolo Round 2 v Western Bulldogs
During the second quarter, Poppy produced another one of his cheeky goals. Henderson booted the ball from the centre square and as it bounced towards the goals, Puopolo tapped it with his right boot through the middle sticks.
