Hawthorn has named a side of 33 players to take on St Kilda at Morwell Recreation Reserve on Friday.
The Hawks will meet the Saints for the second time in just over a week in an event, presented by BankVic, that will acknowledge and support the work of the local emergency services workers.
From the team that lost to Brett Ratten's side by 21 points last week, the Hawks will be without Tom Mitchell (rest), Luke Breust (State of Origin match), Isaac Smith (State of Origin match), Ben McEvoy (thigh), Jon Ceglar (rest) and Mat Walker (rest).
But the squad will be boosted with the inclusion of Shaun Burgoyne as well as a host of youngsters who will get their taste of senior football.
GM - Football Graham Wright said the game represented another good opportunity for the club's preparation ahead of Round 1.
"Firstly, we're really proud to be able to support this cause given the amazing work the emergency services workers do," Wright said.
"We've opted for a larger squad with the intention to rotate regularly and get some game time in the legs of all available players.
"We also plan to rotate some players after half-time.
"The game itself will be another important step for us as we close in on the start of the season."
