With the Hawks scheduled to play Carlton on the weekend, we've had to look back to our favourite clash against the Blues for this week's Moment of the Match, proudly brought to you by VRGF.
There isn't many better sights in footy than when two forwards at either end of the ground go head-to-head in a goal kicking showdown.
Well, that's exactly how our clash with the Blues in Round 9 2009 went down as Jarryd Roughead and Brendan Fevola both booted eight goals for their respective teams.
When Roughy kicked his eighth of the game at the 18-minute mark of the final term to put the Hawks up by 25 points, the game looked done and won.
But, not so fast, the Blues had a final kick in them yet, creating an exhilarating finish which saw all three candidates of our Moment of the Match occur in that final 15-minute period.
Which one is your pick?
Roughy bags his eighth
It was a career day for the then-22-year-old Roughead who, after nailing four goals in the opening term, continued on to kick another four and set a new career record.
See if you can spot the trend as we ask the boys which teammate will be going crazy in lockdown?
Fev's big miss
Lining up for goal number nine in the dying embers of the game, Fev had his chance to be the hero for the Blues faithful as he lined up 15m out on a slight angle. But it was not to be! He slammed his punt into the woodwork and his chance had gone begging in dramatic fashion.
Rioli's razzle dazzle
Seconds after Fevola's miss, the Hawks frantically cleared the ball out of their defensive 50. The ball was swooped upon by a young Cyril Rioli who put on a few classy moves to evade the Carlton defence and rubber stamp a thriller for the Hawks.
