Hawthorn defender James Sicily conceded his lungs felt "rusty" but his skills made a pleasing return to form in the squad's opening training session on Monday.
Sicily said he hadn't been happy with his kicking throughout the isolation period as he paired up with teammate Ricky Henderson for much of his one-on-one training.
"I surprised myself with my kicking today, I wasn't kicking too well in the break with Ricky," Sicily said.
"This was probably because the ball he had was an absolute basketball but it was good to kick some fresh pills.
"It was good fun."

Sicily said the focus has been to "hit the ground running" this week in order to prepare for a return to games in less than a month's time.
"We're trying to get as much work in as we can with only four weeks until we play.
"In saying that, we still have done a pre-season and we have that foundation that is there so it's probably more about reaching top-end speed.
"I'm sure they'll be making sure we're nice and fit."
