NORTH Melbourne forward Drew Petrie can accept a reprimand for an incident involving Hawthorn defender Brian Lake, the Match Review Panel announced on Monday.
Petrie has been charged with making unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the face of Lake after the pair became entangled on the wing of Etihad Stadium during the 20-point loss.
The incident occurred in the third quarter.
The incident has been classified as a level one misconduct offence, drawing 125 points points and a one-match sanction.
It was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points) based on available video evidence and a medical report supplied by Hawthorn Football Club.
With an early plea, Petrie can escape with a reprimand and accept 93.75 carry-over points.
He has no previous good or bad record.
Young North Melbourne defender Luke McDonald can also accept a reprimand for tripping Hawthorn forward Luke Breust.
McDonald can accept 60 points towards his future record for reckless conduct.
