Hawthorn Football Club is pleased to announce dual premiership coach Alastair Clarkson has re-signed with the Club for an additional two years, extending his contract through until the end of 2016.

Hawthorn CEO Stuart Fox said Clarkson’s contract extension was an endorsement of the senior coach’s experience and achievements across his ten-year tenure.

“Alastair’s re-signing is a credit to his outstanding talent as a coach and leader, and a reflection of the stability and ambition of the Club,” Fox said.

“We are thrilled to have secured Alastair’s services for another two years and are confident in the Club’s continued prospects under his leadership.”

“He is a proven innovator of our game, which is complemented by his abilities as a teacher of young men and his investment and development in the coaches around him.”

“Both the Club and Alastair share a strong desire to build upon our past achievements and focus on the continued improvement in all areas of the business.”

“The re-signing not only recognises the great work done by Alastair and the playing group but the Football department and administration team as a whole, ably supported by the Club’s united board,” Fox said.
