PORT ADELAIDE will take an unchanged line-up into Saturday’s Preliminary Final against Hawthorn at the MCG.

It means key defender Tom Jonas has been cleared to play despite being subbed out at half time in last Saturday’s upset Semi Final win over Fremantle.

Jonas copped a knock to his hip, which saw him sit on the bench for some time with ice on the injury and was eventually subbed out when it was deemed he couldn’t play to his full capacity.

He is an important player in his side’s structure as the third-tall down back beside Alipate Carlile and Jackson Trengove, while also acting as one of his Ken Hinkley’s

The 188cm defender could be headed for a match-up with Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston, one of three Hawks to have booted over 50 goals this season.

Alipate Carlile is almost certain to stand dual All Australian Jarryd Roughead, while Trengove might be best suited to standing either David Hale or Jonathon Ceglar when resting forward.

Jonas is athletic and adds to his side’s famed transition game strength, in their ability to rebound quickly off half back to set up counterattacks.

He averages 15.2 disposals in his 21 games this year along with five marks. He is also ranked fourth at his club for rebounds 50s.

Speedster Matt White has also been selected after getting through the Semi Final with no further damage to his already cracked jaw.
