Sam Mitchell and Isaac Smith have overcome illness and injury respectively to take on the Demons in Saturday’s twilight match at the MCG.

Mitchell and Smith were both late-withdrawals from last week’s win over the Bulldogs in Tasmania, however after a solid week on the track both players have come back into the line-up.

They will be joined by first year player Billy Hartung who returns after missing eight weeks with an elbow injury, sustained in the Round 12 win over the West Coast Eagles at Aurora Stadium.

Hartung had acquitted himself well at AFL level before his injury, adding run to the Hawthorn side since making his debut in Round 7.

Forward Jack Gunston will miss due to injury, hurting his knee in last week's match.

Youngsters Alex Woodward and Angus Litherland have been omitted.

Angus Litherland, Alex Woodward and Jonathon Ceglar are the emergencies.
