On 16 June - 20 June 2014, Eat and Play the Hawthorn Way week took place with many Primary Schools across Tasmania taking part. This program, provided in partnership with Move Well Eat Well, assisted students and school communities enjoy healthy eating and physical activity as normal, important and positive parts of every day.
164 Move Well Eat Well schools registered for the week full of fun and engaging activities, with a potential reach to over 38,000 students
After the week concluded, schools had the opportunity to send the Club a snapshot of what they did during the week to go into the draw to win the major prize.
The prize was 62 tickets to the Hawks v Bulldogs match, bus transfers to and from Aurora Stadium along with a clinic for 30 of the kids on ground pre match!
Move Well Eat Well Member Sacred Heart Catholic School Geeveston, three hours outside of Launceston sent through a fantastic entry. They were lucky enough to win the major prize seeing them travel to Launceston for the game.
Students loved the opportunity to have a kick on Aurora and watch the Hawks get a win over the Bulldogs.
