Grand Final week is underway at the Ricoh Centre.
Monday began with a press conference as Shaun Burgoyne fronted the media to discuss the nail-biting Preliminary Final win over his old side Port Adelaide and looking forward to Saturday's Grand Final against Sydney.
Burgoyne was asked a number of questions ranging from how Cyril Rioli pulled up from his VFL hit out on Sunday to facing Sydney and their gun forward line on Saturday.
The Hawks utility said he has full confidence in our defence that they will be able to stop Sydney's dangerous forward line.
He also wrote a note to Hawks fan Maddie, who was injured at Saturday's Preliminary Final after the footy hit her hand from a Burgoyne shot at goal.
Once his media commitments were completed, Burgoyne re-joined his teammates in the gym for a weights session before a group of players headed out onto the oval for a light recovery session.
