WEST COAST could regain four of its star players for Friday night’s clash against Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium.
The Eagles were without four of its best players in its narrow win over St Kilda in Round 11, with Beau Waters, Darren Glass, Mark LeCras and Josh Kennedy all missing through injury.
Kennedy was a late withdrawal from the match, while Darren Glass also had a slight “niggle” and LeCras missed due to recurring pain in the arm he broke in Round 1.
The trio haven’t played since Round 10, with the Eagles having the bye last weekend.
Kennedy is the team's leading goal kicker with 34, and was one of his team's best in his team's loss to Hawthorn in Round 2. He booted five goals in that game.
LeCras sits fourth on the leader board with 17, but missed the Round 2 clash.
Waters hasn’t played since Round 8 after suffering a quad injury in the thrilling win over North Melbourne.
Coach John Worsfold confirmed on Tuesday that the quartet are fit and ready to face the Hawks in an important clash for his side.
He said Waters in particular, is fit and can’t wait to return.
"He's super fit. And that was the idea of him having an extended period, to build him up again," Worsfold said.
"We've followed that plan very strictly and we've done our best to safeguard him against further injury."
Defender Will Schofield could also return after making a successful comeback in the WAFL from a compound finger dislocation suffered in Round 8.
Scholfield’s inclusion would bolster the West Coast defence as it prepares to face statistically, the best forward line in the competition.
Forward Mark Nicoski could also return, but is likely to be given another week in the WAFL considering the Eagles are likely to already make four changes, with a fifth possible if Schofield is selected.
"I'd say give him maybe only one more game at the WAFL and I think he's getting close to being ready for AFL footy again," Worsfold said.
