Rioli cleared by MRP

Cyril Rioli is free to play against Collingwood on Friday night after being cleared by the Match Review Panel on Monday.

HAWTHORN star Cyril Rioli is free to play against Collingwood on Friday night after being cleared by the Match Review Panel on Monday.

The MRP reviewed a tackle laid by Rioli in which he pinned the arm of Saints players Jarryn Geary and subsequently took him to the ground.

The incident was assessed and deemed the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence and thus, there was no action taken.

He is free to take on the Magpies in Friday night’s blockbuster at the MCG.
