In HawksTV’s first Footy Flashback, we head to the MCG to take a look at Hawthorn v Richmond from Round 16, 1990.

In front of a respective crowd of over 25,000 people, Hawthorn outplayed Richmond in every aspect of the game winning by 91 points. Despite leading at every single break, the game will be forever remembered for Dermott Brereton and his 11-goal haul.

By great leads, incredible marks and outstanding accuracy, Brereton dominated any player that Richmond coach, Kevin Bartlett, put on him. Nothing could stop him and anytime a Richmond player tried something new, Brereton would either outsmart him or get a free kick.

It was a classic performance and one that certainly proved that Dermott Brereton would become a champion of the game.

So sit back and enjoy all 11 goals as HawksTV brings you the first Footy Flashbacks.
