The AFL, AFL Players Association and Standard Records (distributed by Sony Music) has created a CD to give fans a unique insight into what the players listen to to get “pumped up” for a game.
The 19-track CD encapsulates the personalities and mindsets of players as they prepare for each game.
While some players opt for a mellow tune, other players prefer to listen to upbeat music to get them ready for battle.
The CD is entitled “Leaders’ List” – where leaders from each of the AFL teams has handpicked the tracks that inspire and motivate them.
From Hawthorn, Josh Gibson has selected his ultimate motivator for the album.
He has chosen deadmau5’s Ghosts'n'Stuff.
The proceeds from the album will be donated to Ladder, an independent non-profit organisation established in 2007 to tackle youth homelessness in Australia.
