SYDNEY has taken a game with Lewis Jetta, naming the exciting midfielder for tonight’s Qualifying Final against Hawthorn.
Jetta has played just 55 minutes of football since suffering an injury in Round 10, but the Swans have backed their speedster to have an impact tonight.
The exciting midfielder has the ability to break the game open with his speed and exquisite kicking skills and looms as the likely substitute for the Swans tonight.
Jetta is one of four inclusions for the Swans, bolstered by the return of star players Kurt Tippett and Dan Hannebery as well as reliable shut down defender Nick Smith.
The quartet come in to replace Mitch Morton, Harry Cunningham, Brandon Jack and Shane Biggs.
Tippett has kicked 33 goals since Round 14 – the most of any player in the competition from that round and looms as a danger and headache for the Hawks tonight.
Hannebery is a welcome inclusion to the already powerful Sydney midfield, ranked third at the Swans for disposal average with 26 and uncontested possessions, fourth for contested possessions, clearances and centre clearances. He has also kicked 16 goals this season.
Smith meanwhile will have a key role tonight on either Cyril Rioli if he overcomes injury in time, or lively goal sneak Luke Breust, Hawthorn’s third-best goal kicker this season.
