HAWTHORN has made two changes for its blockbuster Friday night clash against Carlton at Etihad Stadium.
Forward Jack Gunston has been named after overcoming a minor calf injury that saw him sidelined for a week, missing his team’s Round 10 win over the Demons.
With the injury only minor, Gunston was able to train with his teammates over the bye weekend and has trained strongly in the lead up to Friday night’s game.
Gunston has been in good form in recent weeks, splitting his time between forward and wing.
He is another player who has the ability to play in a variety of positions, but will most likely spend time forward with Lance Franklin and Jarryd Roughead.
Ruckman Max Bailey joins Gunston as the inclusions for the match, with Coach Alastair Clarkson continuing to tinker with his preferred ruck options.
Bailey’s inclusion comes at the expense of youngster Sam Grimley who has been omitted after playing two senior games.
Bailey will resume his partnership with David Hale and Roughead who could all spend time in the centre square at various times on Friday night.
Kyle Cheney has also missed out on selection despite a solid performance against the Demons.
Both Cheney and Grimley are among the emergencies, with midfielder Shane Savage the other on stand by.
