TAYLOR Duryea will make his debut for Hawthorn on Sunday against Collingwood at the MCG.
Named in the 25-man squad on Thursday night, Duryea was selected for his first game for the Club when the squad was trimmed to 22 on Friday.
Drafted from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 69 in the 2009 National Draft, Duryea has battled injury throughout his short career but, has achieved continuity in his football in the past twelve months and impressed through his form at Box Hill.
A move to the backline mid-year last season saw him thrive with the Club’s VFL affiliate and come close to senior selection in 2012.
He played in all four of the Club’s pre-season matches and had fans talking of a possible early-season debut to replace the injured Matt Suckling.
Forward Jack Gunston has also been recalled to the team to take on the Pies after missing last week’s win over the Eagles in Perth through illness.
The pair replace Shane Savage and the injured Brad Sewell from the side that beat West Coast.
