It was a busy day of training today for the playing group as they took to the oval at the Ricoh Centre for a training session that lasted for almost an hour.After short warm up drills of short kicking and light jogging, the group split into three as two groups practiced their goal kicking at either end of the group, while the group in the middle were working on their touch in close with handball drills.
Luke Breust and Lance Franklin in particular were practicing their goal kicking routine after booting three and five behinds respectively in the preliminary final against Adelaide.
Captain Luke Hodge and defender Josh Gibson were up for media this morning, as the Captain told journalists that he missed Graham Johncock’s goal to put the Crows in front as he was in the shower.
While Gibson spoke of his delight at finally winning his way through to a grand final.
Players then hit the gym to work on their strength for what is sure to be a bruising finale to the 2012 season before relaxing with yoga, pilates and a massage in the afternoon.
