Round 14: VFL Preview
The Box Hill Hawks returned back to the winners list
Sunday 19 July
Burbank Oval at 2.00pm
The Box Hill Hawks returned back to the winners list after upsetting last years premier North Ballarat by 14 points.
The Hawks made a gutsy comeback in their home match against North Ballarat last week, turning a 16-point three quarter time deficit into a pulsating 14 point win.
Brining up the Hawks 7th victory for the season, the win also settled the long winless streak against North Ballarat which began in Round 8 2006.
WILLIAMSTOWN, MEANWHILE, ran away 3 point winners in a great escape against Coburg at Burbank Oval.
Trailing by 3 points, a mark 45 metres out by Jarrad Grant seconds before the final siren allowed a tense kick on goal after the siren.
Slotting the goal through, Williamstown brought up their 10th win for the season remaining top of the table.
Since the beginning of the 2008 VFL season, Williamstown have won 14, lost 3 at Burbank Oval showing the breezy sea-side ground is paradise for the side.
Box Hill again playing a top two side for the 2nd successive week will be a great test with this weekend’s match the Hawks hardest before an easier run home.

Development Team:
Highly anticipated this weekend the Development Team faces Williamstown at Burbank Oval.
Sitting in 1st and 2nd both sides coming into the contest off solid victories cross paths where Box Hill will look for revenge after Williamstown’s VFL Reserves Grand Final victory last year.
Showing fighting spirit, Box Hill kept North Ballarat goalless to run out 20 point winners at Box Hill City Oval last week.
Nothing seems to stop the Hawks even when in doubt.
Williamstown’s conditions always prove troubling for opposition teams, but Box Hill hope to put their 10th victory on the board.
