The Box Hill Hawks have announced Sam Gibson as captain for 2011, with ex-Hawthorn player Beau Muston named vice captain and ex-St Kilda player Adam Pattison deputy vice captain.

The announcement was made after training on Wednesday night.

24-year old Gibson began playing for Box Hill in 2006 after moving across from the Oakleigh Chargers.

He was a part of the 2006 Reserves Premiership and was Box Hill’s highest goal kicker and runner-up best and fairest for 2010.

Gibson replaces the outgoing 2010 captain Steve Kenna.
