Hawks assistant coach Brett Ratten aims to bring a different angle on the game to the Club.
After five years as the senior coach at Carlton, Ratten says he wants to share his experience, knowledge and difference of opinion with the other coaches.
"I think (I can bring) outside experiences and a different philosophy on the game. I can bring something to the table that's been a little bit different to the Hawthorn model."
Ratten is excited by the prospect of assisting Alastair Clarkson and his experienced coaching panel.
"I'll concentrate on stoppages and work with Clarko in regards to what we need to go the next step."
