Thursday 27 September - 2 days to go

It was an action packed day at the Ricoh Centre today, with a huge buzz around the Club. Fans were out in force, flocking to Waverley Park to see the Hawks train for the final time ahead of the biggest game of the year.

Luke Hodge led the team out just after midday, to the delight of the crowd.

It was a light session, with the players starting with a short warm up job, then into some handballing drills.

The session then moved to honing in on the group’s kicking skills, delivering to one another on the lead.

Then, it was goal-kicking practice time after the Hawks booted 19 behinds in the preliminary final win over Adelaide.

The session was hosted by Hawks fan, Stephen Quartermain who interviewed Club greats Graham Arthur, Dermott Brereton, Peter Knights and Robert DiPierdomenico on stage before training was underway.

At the conclusion of the session, Quartermain was joined by Coach Alastair Clarkson and Captain Hodge who thanked fans for making the trek out to Waverley park.
