Hawthorn Football Club offers its condolences and deepest sympathies to those who have been affected by the recent bushfires. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and our hearts go out to all involved at this difficult time.

After seeing the devastation over the weekend, the Club contacted a broad range of community organisations to offer the Club’s assistance and support. These organisations have asked for “composure and planning for the long term”.

Hawks players along with everyone in the Hawthorn Family have been deeply saddened by the recent events and will attend Friday night’s match between the Western Bulldogs and Essendon at Telstra Dome to show the Clubs support as well as donating funds to the appeal. If you would like to join our players in making a financial contribution please visit your local bank.

Please donate to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal which has been established by the Victorian Government in conjunction with the Red Cross.

At the present time the devastated communities are most in need of blood donations. Hawthorn Football Club is making a commitment to work with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service throughout the year giving donations of blood on a regular basis and encourage players, staff and members to do the same.

For more information on how to give blood please visit www.donateblood.com.au.
